Top 5 Beaches In Europe

Planning a beach vacation in Europe?

Below we have compiled what we think are the top 5 European beaches to visit this year. In no particular order, they are as follows:

Zlatni Rat

Croatia boasts a ton of gorgeous beaches, though none as stunning and unique as Zlatni Rat, which is located in the Croatian island of Brac.

Zlatni Rat is no doubt, one of the most popular beaches in Croatia for windsurfing, though it’s also one of the most peculiar beaches in Croatia as it boasts a triangle shape shoreline, which earned it the nickname the “Golden Cape”.

Lindos Beach

Lindos Beach is a lovely sandy beach located on the southwestern end of the Greek island of Rhodes, which isn’t necessarily the biggest beach in Greece, though what lacks in size makes up for in beauty and location.
Lindos Beach is overlooked by a hilltop which is home to beautiful whitewashed houses and the imposing Lindos Castle. The picture above may not give Lindos Beach true justice, though it isn’t hard to see why Lindos Beach would be on our list of top 5 European beaches, right?
La Baule Beach

There is no doubt that the French Riviera is king when it comes to beautiful beaches in France. However, the stunning beach of La Baule on the Brittany coast of France would give any of the beaches in the Cote d'Azur a run for its money, especially when it comes to size!
Yes, that’s right. La Baule Beach is about 6 miles long, which makes it one of the longest beaches in Europe (if not the longest).

By the way, if you’re looking for a spot to sunbathe nude, La Baule is also one of the top 5 European beaches for naturism.

Cala Goloritze Beach

Cala Goloritze is located in Baunei on the eastern coast of the Italian island of Sardinia and it’s without a doubt, one of the best beaches in the Mediterranean for stunning views of the sea.
Cala Goloritze is surrounded by stunning limestone walls and amazingly crystal clear turquoise shallow waters which make Cala Goloritze one of the top 5 European beaches for both snorkeling and free climbing.

Praia da Marinha

Praia da Marinha is located on the renowned Algarve region of Portugal (see fun things to do in Portugal), which is famously known for its fine sand golden beaches.
Beaches in the Algarve are truly beautiful, though none as memorable as Praia da Marinha, which is roughly located between Albufeira and Portimao.

Praia da Marinha boasts stunning golden cliff walls and beautiful natural arch formations reminiscent of Los Arcos in Puerto Vallarta Mexico.
